Remote Desktop Support Disclaimer
By requesting and receiving remote desktop support services (“Services”) from CyberTek Inc, you (“Customer”) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
Consent to Access
- Customer authorizes the technician to remotely access their computer, network, and related systems for the purpose of troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, or repair.
- Customer understands that the technician will have the ability to view, access, and modify files, applications, and system settings during the session.
Data Responsibility
- Customer is solely responsible for ensuring that all important data is properly backed up prior to the remote session.
- CyberTek Inc shall not be liable for any data loss, corruption, or unintended changes that may occur during or after the session.
Security and Confidentiality
- The technician will exercise reasonable care to maintain the confidentiality of Customer’s information.
- Customer acknowledges that no method of electronic communication or remote access is entirely secure, and CyberTek Inc cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access.
Limitations of Liability
- Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- CyberTek Inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, business interruption, or reputational harm.
- Liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount paid by Customer for the specific session in question.
Scope of Service
- Remote desktop support is limited to the tasks agreed upon at the start of the session.
- The technician is not responsible for issues outside the agreed scope, nor for hardware failures, third-party software defects, or internet connectivity problems.
- During repair, the technician may request that the system be dropped off at the CyberTek facility for more advanced repairs if deemed necessary
Termination of Session
- Customer may terminate the remote session at any time.
- The technician may also terminate the session if continuing poses a risk to system integrity, security, or compliance.
Acknowledgment
By accepting remote desktop support, Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this disclaimer.
Customer further acknowledges that they are authorized to grant access to the system(s) being serviced.
